Stanford to Switch to Pass/Fail Grades

Ah, a pass fail grading system. In law school, it's seldom used, since you can't have a "top of the class>" honor. But Yale Law School has used it for many years; primarily because they can: every student at Yale will get a job.
Now, Stanford Law School is set to join Yale in offering only pass/fail grades. However, don't jump for joy too soon: the change is not finalized, and the details of when this will happen aren't done yet. So, class of 2008-09, don't get your hopes up quite yet. It might not be ready this year.

Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do some research about this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more from this post. I am very glad to see such great information being shared freely out there.
