Tax Attorney Jennifer Exum Joins Baker Donelson in Chattanooga
Jennifer Exum has joined Baker Donelson as of counsel in the Firm's Chattanooga office and a member of the Tax Group.
Ms. Exum advises individuals and families on probate, estate and tax planning, and conservatorships, and advises and defends them in situations where litigation is necessary. She counsels clients – including executors, trustees, heirs, and advisors – on matters ranging from simple estates to highly complex business transitions with challenging family dynamics.
Ms. Exum also assists the Hamilton County Chancery Court through her service as a court-appointed Receiver over businesses in decedents' estates, and with insolvent or complex estate administrations involving judgment creditors, liens, and state and federal tax issues.
Ms. Exum is currently president of the Estate Planning Council of Chattanooga and serves on the organization's board of directors. She is also a member of the Tennessee Bar Association's Estate Planning and Probate Section, where she serves on the Executive Council and the Legislative Subcommittee.
She received her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law and her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University.
