Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick’s Corporate practice group continues to flourish with the addition of Associate Garra Brown-Bartley, focused on general corporate matters, bankruptcy, employee benefits, executive compensation, and mergers & acquisitions. Â

Before joining Shumaker, Garra received her B.A. in Business Administration from Warner University and her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law. While at Wake Forest, Garra served on the Moot Court Board and contributed to the Wake Forest Journal of Law and Policy. Garra also participated in Shumaker’s Summer Associate Program in 2019.

Prior to law school, Garra gained a great deal of experience working six years for a Charlotte-based company that provides a global portfolio of brands and digital platforms to a broad range of industries, including technology, retail, telecommunications, education, and energy.
