Akerman Grows Los Angeles Team
Summary: A team of IP and Commercial Litigation partners joined Akerman in their Los Angeles office.
Akerman LLP welcomed a pair of partners to their Los Angeles office. Akerman, a top 100 U.S. law firm serving clients across the Americas, added Caroline Mankey and Kanika Corley to their Intellectual property and commercial litigation groups. The women are joining from Sedgwick LLP, where Mankey was the chair of the Intellectual Property, Media, and Entertainment Group.
Chair Lawrence Rochefort of the Litigation Practice Group said, “Caroline and Kanika are highly skilled lawyers who bring important depth to our intellectual property and commercial litigation team in Los Angeles and nationwide. Mankey will focus her practice on copyright, trade secret, trademark, licensing and contract rights, design patent, and rights of publicity disputes. Corley will focus her practice on commercial disputes and soft intellectual property litigation and prosecution for clients in the sports, media, and entertainment sectors.
