Bankruptcy Attorney Lean Eisenberg Joins Foley & Lardner

Foley & Lardner LLP announced the addition of Leah M. Eisenberg to their New York office. She will join the Bankruptcy & Business Reorganizations Practice as of counsel. She brings over 16 years of experience with bankruptcy matters, joining from Arent Fox.

Eisenberg has worked extensively with clients in restructuring, default, bankruptcy and corporate trust matters, especially with indenture trustee, creditors’ committee, and other creditor representations. With all of this experience, she will be receiving the New York Institute of Credit’s 2018 Women’s Executive of the Year Award in February.

The chair of Foley’s Bankruptcy & Business Reorganizations Practice, Jill Nicholson said, “Leah is an exceptional attorney and we’re excited to add her experience and skillset to our talented team of bankruptcy practitioners.â€

Eisenberg has previously worked as the first law clerk for U.S. bankruptcy judge Hon. Robert E. Gerber of the Southern District of New York. She is active in the industry as a speaker and author on bankruptcy issues as well as holding leadership positions for the Women’s Division for the New York Institute of Credit, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.

Chairman and CEO Jay Rothman added, “We’re making very strategic moves to build upon our highly regarded and utilized litigation services in New York. Leah’s arrival underscores that effort.â€
