Three Attorneys Added to Buchalter Nemer’s Scottsdale Office
Summary: Buchalter Nemer added three attorneys in their Scottsdale location to the Labor & Employment and Tax & Estate Planning groups.
The Scottsdale office of Buchalter Nemer is getting a boost with three new attorneys to their team. Laurent Badoux will join the Labor & Employment practice group as a Shareholder. The Tax & Estate Planning practice group will be receiving Douglas John and Shaun Kuter.

Badoux was the Chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Phoenix Labor & Employment practice. John was a Senior Partner with Frazer, Ryan, Goldberg & Arnold LLP with Kuter as an Associate. Both are licensed in Nevada, where they still have active practices.
President and Chief Executive Officer Adam J. Bass said, “Laurent, Doug and Shaun are welcome additions to our growing Scottsdale office. Their complimentary practices to our existing labor and employment and tax and real estate capabilities make our services incomparable in this region, and Laurent, Douglas and Shaun’s expertise is another value-add to our clients.”
Badoux will focus on a variety of labor and employment issues such as harassment claims, labor relations, breach of fiduciary duties, wage and hour audits, and more. His clients are from several industries that have a range of litigation needs. He earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Arizona in English composition and French literature.
John will handle state and local taxation matters, particularly with property tax counseling and litigation. His clients range from individuals to small businesses and Fortune 500 companies. He earned his J.D. from the University of Arizona, a M.A. in economics from the University of Arizona, and his B.A. from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro in history.
Kuter will focus on advising clients on potential tax pitfalls while representing them in litigation cases that go before administrative tribunals, appellate courts, and Superior Courts. He has worked significantly with tax controversy issues and worked previously at the Arizona Department of Revenue’s Office of General Counsel. He earned his J.D. from Temple University and his B.S. from Arizona State University in political science and government.
