You can have bad days at law school. But the worst has got to be when you show up for class and the prof starts handing out subpoenas. That's exactly what happened at The William H. Rachelle Ann Beal credits her professors as being the biggest influences in her law life so far.By Mahsa Khalilifar
''Ever since I was little, I either wanted to become a doctor or a lawyer,'' says 23-year-old Rachelle Ann Beal. She finally made a decision some years back between the two and is now venturing through her first year at the University of La Verne College of Law.
"In high school I volunteered at a hospital and didn't like it at all," she recalls. "Then in high school I joined Mock Trial, and we visited law firms and courthouses, and that was what helped me decide on this career path."

Penn Law places great emphasis on what it calls ''cross-disciplinary studies,'' a fact...By Akbar Ali
Tracing its origins back to the beginning of American national law, the University of Pennsylvania Law School is one of the nation's most historic and prestigious legal education institutions, emphasizing its long history of cross-disciplinary education and cultural diversity. Established in 1790, the school offers one of the most comprehensive collections of law degrees available at any American law university. This top-tier law school also prides itself on something not often acknowledged by competitive law schools: its environment of congeniality, which in the ''City of Brotherly Love'' is fitting.
